I know. The past weekend has been the worst. I’m not motivated, not happy, not anything. It took all my emotional strength to write the posts here and on Facebook. Funny you mention “on the other side.” I believe this too and read something on Saturday that confirmed it. When the vet gave him his fatal dose of anesthesia, he produced a single tear and exhaled his final breath. I believe Buddy had a soul and it was leaving his body. Yes. Buddy was special. He was such a huge part of my life. Part of me died on Saturday with him. Thanks so much for your comment. Yes, Buddy was a very good sport when it came to me dressing him up. I think he enjoyed the attention, and I enjoyed giving it to him. I miss my sweetie dumpling.

I went through this in January and losing my dogs are literally the worst days of my life. I have no words that can console you other than to say I believe dogs wait for us on the other side and you’ll be reunited. He may have even lost weight!
