If you follow me on Facebook, than you have more than likely read this. I felt my sweet Buddy deserved to be on the front page of my Website. It is with deep, unimaginable sadness that I announce on May 18, 2013, I lost my beloved friend and companion of 14 years, Buddy the beagle aka “Fat Bastard.” My heart is empty; My home is silent. Yesterday, I put food in his bowl and called his name. I cried when I realized he was no longer here. Today, as I opened the back door, I hollered, “Come on Buddy, outside.” I looked around but he was not here. Buddy may have thought he was dependent on me for love, but it was me who was dependent on him for love. Buddy greeted me every morning with a goofy smile and sloppy kiss. Every evening, he would grab his leash and do a silly little prance at the front door in anticipation of walking to the mailbox with me. Goodbye my friend. I loved you. Yes. I’m still bawling.
